How to add SCSI / OEM mass-storage
drivers
Download the OEM drivers from manufacture for
your SCSI / mass-storage controller and extract the files.
Uncompress the downloaded UltraBootCD 2 zip file and open the iso
file using your favorite ISO editor program and replace following
files as instructed,
- Extract or copy answer.txt file from UBD\Tools\Windown
folder to your Desktop
- Edit following sections in answer.txt
file,
[MassStorgeDrivers]
"string that identifies the controller in the [scsi] section of
TXTSETUP.OEM" = "OEM"
For Example,
"Intel(R) 82801HEM SATA RAID Controller (Mobile ICH8M-E)" =
"OEM"
add all the devices listed in the [SCSI] section of
TEXTSETUP.OEM as above
Note If you also use this same answer file on computers
that have IDE controllers that start by using the in-box drivers
(drivers that are included with Windows), add the following code
line to the [MassStorageDrivers] section:
"IDE CD-ROM (ATAPI 1.2)/PCI IDE Controller" = "RETAIL"
If you do not add this code, you may receive an "Inaccessible
Boot Device" Stop error message during the text mode portion
of Setup.
In the answer.txt file, Under [OEMBootFiles] section and list
the driver files that downloaded from manufacture. This
typically includes an .inf file, a .sys file, and for Windows
XP/2003 a .cat file. For example,
[OEMBootFiles]
Driver.Sys
Driver.INF
Driver.CAT
Txtsetup.oem
- Replace answer.txt file in CD with
modified one
- Replace driver files in UBD\Drivers\Intel\SATAAHCI
with downloaded drivers
